8/12/14 On to Squirrel Cove.
One very significant difference this year (from last year) are the very
calm waters. It really has been a
delight (so far) every day just cruising around. We anchored at about 2:00 PM and watched the
area fill with boats over the next several hours. By dinner time, it was a literal city inside
of Squirrel Cove! Anchor lights on
everywhere. There have been a few
sprinkles around today, but nothing major.
Tammy and Gary took the dink over to “town” as Tammy called it…. More
like “building”, but they were able to fill the dink with fuel, do a little
shopping (we need lemons) and do some laundry.
Chris and I remained on the boat for a VERY lazy day! It gets so confusing out here…. Am I just
lazy or is this what relaxation really feels like? In either event, it feels WONDERFUL! Another great evening on the hook and we are
all used to the rationing of water, power, etc. by now. Again, life is good!
